Edgar Cayce spoke about the need to work with your ideals. Ideals encourage us to move beyond a personal decision and look at a larger picture. This larger picture will show us how our ideals affect interactions with others and our surroundings. Most important it will show how our ideal can affect our personal decision making and thoughts.
The topic of ideals is very important and are not fully explained in this meditation. The exercises to distinguish your true ideals is an ongoing process. Our ideals change as our life changes. Cayce suggest you review your ideals at least yearly. You want to be sure you have high spiritual reasons for what you strive to achieve.
For the purpose of this meditation we are going to see ideals as something to embrace as we strive towards our goals. Ideal is a motivational standard by which you measure your goals against. You may have the goal to be a leader in a company, to find the ideal you ask, ‘Why do I have a goal of being a leader in a company’. If the “Why” is not structured around something good, according to Edgar Cayce you can create a Frankenstein inside yourself.
All meditations provided are done with prayers of protection and closing with the 23rd psalm as taught by Edgar Cayce in his lifetime. Although these meditations are short, they are very profound. This meditation may leave you slightly altered, so please do not drive or go to work immediately after completing this simple guided meditation. Be sure you are fully aware before moving forward with your day.
