The Cross and the Crown are lesson ten in book one of “A Search for God” from the Edgar Cayce readings. Our meditation is focused on understanding and encouraging us to duplicate the way Christ lived. During His time on earth he fully accepted the way of the Father, by being of service, —giving Himself as sacrifice and being an example of true selflessness. This meditation is to help us be more Christ like in the difficult times when we would rather not be of service or give selflessly.
The affirmation for this meditation is taken directly out of Book One A Search for God: Our Father, our God, as we approach that that may give us a better insight of what He bore in the cross, what His glory may be in the crown, may Thy blessings- as promised through Him- be with us as we study together in His name.
Daily meditation is a profound way to find clarity in your life. In this most recent series of meditations I am presenting the lessons from the “A Search for God” books. Having been a participating member of “A Search for God” group for many years, I have personally experienced tremendous growth from them in my spiritual life. These meditations are not a replacement for doing the actually lessons. I would strongly suggest participating in an “A Search for God” group in your area.
All meditations provided begin with prayers of protection and closing with the 23rd psalm as taught by Edgar Cayce. Although these meditations are short, they are very profound. This meditation may leave you slightly altered, so please do not drive or go to work immediately after completing. Be sure you are fully grounded before moving forward with your day.
